Call Sheet Templates

Call Sheet Templates provide reusable layouts for creating call sheets. Templates help keep call sheets consistent across productions and reduce the need to configure the same sections repeatedly.

Nexxus provides three default templates:

  • Standard Event — The default template containing the standard sections. Suitable for most events.
  • Full Production — Includes every available section for large productions with more complex logistics.
  • Minimal — Contains only essential sections for simple or last-minute productions.

These templates can be used as starting points when creating a call sheet.

Authorized users can create custom templates by providing:

  • Template Name
  • Description

A template is made up of sections. Nexxus provides default sections that can be enabled or disabled based on your workflow.

You can also create custom sections and arrange them in the order you need.

Each section can contain dynamic form fields.

Supported field types include:

  • Short Text
  • Long Text
  • Number
  • Dropdown
  • Checkbox
  • Date

Each field can have:

  • A label
  • A required setting
  • A default value where applicable

Dropdown fields can contain multiple options.

Checkbox fields can be configured to be checked by default or left unchecked.

Fields can be reordered to control how they appear in the call sheet.

Each field provides a preview so you can see how it will appear before using the template.

You can add and configure as many fields as needed for your workflow.

One template can be marked as the Default Template.

The default template is automatically selected when creating a new call sheet, making it faster to start a new document.

Templates can be duplicated to create a new template based on an existing layout.

This is useful when you need a similar template with only a few changes.

Templates can be permanently deleted when they are no longer needed.

Deleting a template does not affect existing call sheets that were created using it. Existing call sheets remain unchanged.

A template serves as the starting point for a new call sheet. Instead of rebuilding the layout from scratch, you select a template and fill in the details for the specific event.

See Creating a Call Sheet for how to use a template as the foundation of a new call sheet.
